Trinity College Bewley's Café
I went to see my friend Guy in Dublin - my first visit there. It's certainly a lively, friendly feeling place, although there's a serious need to get the traffic under control for the sake of pedestrians. The famous Trinity College, dating back to the 16th century, has mostly 18th century buildings in the middle of the town. Bewley's Café is extensive, and a fine place to enjoy a tea or coffee and a cake or two.
Guy and I at Glendalough Glendalough
Here we are climbing up to the upper lake of Glendalough (glen of two lakes). It's peaceful away from the family picnics and so on near the car park. The 6th century hermit St Kevin lived in a cave in the valley and from up here there is a good view towards the Wicklow mountains.
