I went to stay with my friend Martin in Freiburg. I've taken so many photos of Freiburg before, that there really aren't any here this time. This however is typical of the Schwarzwald, near Hinterzarten. We took the train to Hinterzarten, walked to Hinterwaldkopf for lunch, then on to Kirchzarten for the train back. |

Breisach is west of Freiburg on the border with France and has this "street sculpture", which you can push around to your heart's content, but not very easily walk away with. |

I took myself off for a few days' stay in Konstanz on the Bodensee (Lake Constance). Konstanz is charming (and twinned with Richmond) but, again, I've taken plenty of photos before. This is Meersburg, also on the Bodensee taken from the boat on its way to ... |
